Rory, DCP

Rory is Children’s Therapy of Woodinville’s friendly Australian Labradoodle and resident four-legged team member. With her gentle personality, calm demeanor, and endless supply of tail wags, Rory loves helping children feel safe, welcome, and excited to come to therapy. She has an exceptional temperament and especially enjoys making new friends of all ages. 

During therapy sessions, Rory provides emotional support by offering a comforting presence, celebrating successes, and helping children feel more confident as they learn and grow. She also assists with pet desensitization, giving children positive, and supporting opportunities to become more comfortable around dogs at their own pace. Rory is patient, intuitive, and respectful of each child’s comfort level. She knows the cue “no thank you” and happily gives children space when requested, but she’s always ready to offer gentle pets, snuggles, or a kiss when invited. 

When she’s off the clock, Rory enjoys playing fetch, going on adventures with her family, and convincing everyone that she deserves one more treat. 

Fun Facts About Rory:  

• Rory has held the clinic record for the longest-running Employee of the Month streak since the program began in 2024. (Coincidentally…that’s also the year she was born.) 

• She proudly earned her Doctorate in Being a Cutie Patootie from Harvard and completed her undergraduate degree in Perfection at Stanford. Her credentials are highly questionable, but her references are excellent. 

• Her favorite job responsibility is greeting children with a wagging tail and helping them feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. 

• Her favorite forms of payment include treats, belly rubs, and hearing someone say, “Good girl!”
